I think he is confusing the fact that AEM now owns DC Sports with AEM having their own header. AEM/DC Sports Race Header = Junk IMHO. Their headers have garbage welds, a nasty flex joint (can anyone say turbulence), and quite possibly the world's worst collector. I would stay stock over getting a DCRH every day and twice on the weekend.

EDIT: OP, you are SOL unless you get velly velly lucky. Start scouring E-Bay and hope Demonis doesn't get it it first lol

SSR too pricey? Sounds like that is a well made piece, and gives great power gains.

^ What he said, if you have a money tree in your back yard there is nothing better for the money out right now.

what about buddy club? Those are definitely better than the DC **** and aren't quite as expensive as the SSR or Hytech headers

On the Ocho (8thcivic), people have been selling either slightly used Comptech Headers or even NIB Competch Headers lately. If you want one, I say pay attention to the For Sale section...

I thought the hytech ones were about the same price as the SSR's... my b

But still, the BCRH is definitely a good option IMO (at least better than DC by far)

the stainless are about the same as SSR @ $1300, but I think you can get one in mild steel for less... not for sure though

ah, gotcha...

Yeah, they don't post prices on their website so i didn't have a very good idea on how much they actually were. I just figured they were right around the same price as SSR

actually they do... there's a link on the bottom of every page on hytech's site that says "price list" that gives you prices on everything from just collectors to headers and cat back exhausts

I read comptech header was caca... Price outweighed the gains... Haven't seen SSR, but Buddy Club is a beautiful piece.

not caca.. just a well built stock style header that is emissions legal (unlike buddy club, DC sports, SSR, and Hytech)

sure you're not gonna get the same gains, but it has advantages over eliminating your cat

^for sure... plus you could go with a high flow cat and still get better gains (than just the shorty header) while being emissions legal
