Default Shift Boot Question

I've replaced my OEM shift ****, remving the silver collar from the factory boot. So now the boot just falls down the shifter shaft. I think I saw, but now can't find, a thread that mentioned an adapter kit? Anyone know any more on this?

yeah, you need to replace that ring that kept it in place. you need the kit. also need to remove that whole center thing to get to it.

I think you're referring to the RSX-S boot that has a different style opening that keeps it stuck to the shifter shaft.

Yes, you need a lug nut for that and a plastic piece.
