quick question: shift boots
Technically speaking, none of the aforementioned boots are the same as EM2's. The DC5 shift boot is attached to a DC5-specific plastic trim ring, same as the EM2, but it's a different shape. The 99-00 shift boots, regardless of car model, were of different nature entirely. Some had metal mounting structures sewn into their skirts, and some were mounted on plastic. Neither of which, is a direct swap for the EM2.
Can you adapt the fabric portion of the DC5 boot to work on an EM2's trim ring? Yes, with some scissors, glue, and staples.
Can you adapt the fabric portion from other Honda models/generations to work on an EM2 trim ring? For the most part yes, but there are some stranger models out there that simply didn't have enough fabric to work in the EM2's application.
