I bought a used 2003 Civic LX with power locks but no remote unit. I do have one master unlock/lock switch on the drivers door that allows me to unlock/lock all doors. This tells me all doors have solenoids, so I should only need an electronic unit (box) and remote units that communicate. Is this correct? Can someone recommend an install for me along with source? That sounds right I think. I installed an alarm myself, the wire for all the locks is under the steering wheel.

This helped me out a lot when installing my alarm, I did find some things wrong with it though.

If you buy the Honda keyless entry unit, I believe it plugs into a plug under the dash, on the driver's side.

 

This doesn't help me much. I do not wish to install an alarm. I need to know what to think about when installing keyless door locks in my situation. Thanks for your reply.
