That's a good question, and while I don't know for sure, I'd assume they are NOT lead based. Honda touts themselves to be environmentally friendly, I'd be surprised if they use lead paint on their cars anywhere in the world today.

You can take those color codes to an automotive paint distributor, and they'll be able to mix it without lead-base paint. Those color codes are specifically for the pigment.

I am helping a neighbor with a 2002 Civic LX to replace the front door. We are having a problem with confirming the color of the door that a remote salvage yard has.
It is a white 2003 door and we have a white 2002 door. It looks like there was only one white for those years: Taffeta White____________________________NH -578
The references we have looked at leave some question as to how that color will look with our 2002 model. Part of the concern is that some of the paints listed by you show 'clearcoat'. the white does not. I thought that all cars got clearcoated. How can we find if ours did? and is there any reason why the taffeta white should not be clearcoated when painting over some smoothed dents?
thanks,
paul
