Door LOCK problem
I have 2 problems:
I lost the automatic clicker for the car a few months ago.
I only have a valet key (starts the car but does not open doors) and an extra key (opens doors but does not start car).
Then a few weeks later someone popped the lock cylinder on the passenger side door.
This door has been opened and locked from the inside since then. Now I need to put a lock in it because it does not shut right.
What would be the cheapest way to work this out?
I have looked at sites for the cylinder but I am wondering if I can still save the option of having a clicker in a cheap way.
What sites would anyone recommend?
Thank you!

In the FAQs is a list of OEM sites.
Personally, I'd replace the cylinder(s) and remote.

I thought all Honda valet keys opened the doors and worked the ignition but did not open the trunk. The point of a valet key being that you can lock things in the trunk, then hand the key to a valet who parks your car while you are at the opera or wherever and then at the end of the evening out, the valet fetches your car. What is in the trunk is supposedly safe or at least safer.
On the automatic clicker: Have you tried calling the manufacturer for advice?
On the broken passenger side lock, assuming you are handy, here are two routes, either of which may be appropriate, depending:
1.
Pay around $30 for a door lock cylinder from an online Honda parts sites. Call and ask if tumblers (a.k.a. "lock plates") are included. E.g. http://www.bkhondaparts.com/billkay/...&hidIrno=|028#
2.
Go to a junkyard, take apart the doors from 2001-2005 Civics (or Accords?) as needed to remove the door locks, and bring several home. Refurbish your current door lock.
I used the following two sites to help me rebuild locks on my 93 Civic and my 2003 Civic:
https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-civic-del-sol-1992-2000-1/diy-fixing-doorlocks-open-any-key-2237857/
http://www.zeebuck.com/bimmers/tech/...doorlocks.html
Take seriously comments at the sites above about not losing the little springs that help the tumblers work. Working on a surface with a large white sheet on it is highly advisable, so you do not lose the little springs. Note carefully the numbers written on the tumblers and the order in which they come out. I think the 2001-2005 Civics have ten lock plates. If the driver's side lock is fine, remember you can take it apart carefully and see the numbers on the lock plates and their order in the lock cylinder.
I use brake cleaner to clean the cylinder and lock plates. Dry all parts. Then use graphite lock lube (from Autozone or Wal-Mart or similar) to lube everything up when re-assembling.

Pretty much. That's also why the valet key won't operate the rear seat trunk access lock, or the lock on the trunk release handle. (in addition to the trunk lock)
