03 Honda civic EX Help
I have an 03 civic EX automatic tranny. I was thinking about adding in take and an exhaust system. But is it worth it on an automatic tranny? I mean, I like this car, v-tec is nice and it accelerates quick, but I don't stand a chance trying to cut off other faster cars ( i got dusted by an STI). Will intake and exhaust make a noticeable and worthwhile difference?
thanks in advance

Re: 03 Honda civic EX Help
I can get a dezod turbo in my automatic tranny? I didn't think you could do that. thanks. I was afraid it might get a little ricey if the parts didn't actually help at all. But i hear superchargers are better for automatics. Why is that?

Read the FAQs before you make a thread.
Q: What can I do to make my engine perform better?
- A: Unfortunately, the D17 does not respond well to standard bolt-ons or natural aspiration build-ups. Even with higher compression pistons, a high-performance cam, custom intake manifold and throttle body, cold air intake, aftermarket header and exhaust, and head work, you may only see 20 to 30 whp (which really isn't worth the thousands you would invest in the project). Your three "best" options are a Nitrous kit (only up to 60hp shot on stock internals), a turbo-setup, or swapping for a K-series engine.
