Default what would you rather do? (engine wise)

what would you rather do... im having a hard time deciding...

put a b16 in your sol, strip the bay, go near-showcar/showcar, much like this:

or, go a bit more cluttered, but much faster with a h22 swap, and hack up my mounts, and shifter area....

i can't decide. either way the bay will be stripped, but i can't decide if i want to go real simple with the b16, or put a h22 in and hack up my frame and shifter area... i'd strip the h22 also, but its just sooo muich bigger than the b16...

car will be a daily driver, i pretty much want a stock swap, that way i have no issues with reliability...

well it all depends, how fast do you want to be?
Personally i love the look of an "empty" engine bay..........

fast... i'd LOVE to hit 13.9 on street tires without being afraid to blow my car up.

as for that look... wait for my car. hopefully i'll be in the league with chad, and cars like that

no boost. like i said, i much rather have a stock swap that i wont blow up. besides b16 turbo for $3000? dont think so.

maybe in the future, but with this budget, i cant afford it, and i cant afford to blow it.

I'd rather go H22..... but with your budget, it's just not gonna happen.
Looks like B16 fo j00.

I would put a b16 in there or if your balling enough to get an axle snapping nightmare like an h22 then save up your chips for a type r swap. You might as well. The h22 is too heavy and it will snap mounts like a **** and you will have some problems with its aftermarket parts and their fittament as well.

you are going to over 3000 with the h22 swap, when you factor in the swap itself plus shipping, mounts, axels, etc...

have you seached at all for any gsr swaps for less then 3 grand?

do this, get the b16, throw ctr pistons in, dont throw itr in since it will lower your compression. put a gsr head on, 2 layer headgasket, some itr/ctr cams, change the gsr manifold and you will be good.

go with H series then, we did h22a jspec in 94 cx hatch. Stock with hondata s200 and AEM Intake, we ran 13.0

with a decent setup b16 you could run mid to low 14's, not really much faster unless you want to build..

do a gsr swap then, wayyyyy better then the b16 and still has lots of potential
