anyways i have a black Mugen ****...its not heavy but to light and it feels great</TD></TR></TABLE>
Doubtful, the Skunk2 shift **** is around 400 grams and is probably one of the heaviest around, and I doubt that's heavy enough to wear out synchros.

I cant say anything about the Ti ****, however im currently waiting the arrival of my 3rd - yes 3rd spoon radiator cap, as the last two have both broken in the same way both times, i also have mates whos have broken in the same way.

I rock the old spoon shift ****, the black one made out of Duracon. No problems what so ever. Withstands heat very well, when I leave my car out in the sun, I can grab the shift **** without doubt, but many of my other friends have to wrap something around it, or only touch it for a second, becasue it gets so hot.
As some of you have pointed out, the weakness lies in the area of the thread NOT the ti part of the **** itself.
Spoon does offer a heavy shift **** which is the aluminum one. It is very heavy compared to the duracon obviously.
I don't see a shift know being a performance mod at all but that is because my definition of performanve would have to be handling or power related.
Having a nice shift **** is definately a crucial part of driving as is a nice steering wheel and pedals.
