is it just me or is the B-90P more purple? or am i getting the wrong one?

it also depends on when the paint when on too. when my stepdad's car got hit, they put this optical sensor on the paint to see exactly what the color is. i asked why they did that versus just pulling the paint code. what the guy explained made sense. the paint at the assembly plants is stored in large tanks (duh)...and when a tank empties, they don't always do such a great job cleaning it out for the next color. so say the tank had red paint in it, then the next color was blue.....well the first who knows how many cars will be somewhat purple (not greatly obvious, but not the original blue color intended).
so they measure it with the optical thing to get an exact mix
no two colors are the same

okay, here is a pic of what my cars paint looks like, but its not my car.
These are pics of what I wish it would look like.
and no, it is not the light, b/c even at night when there is no light, my car looks like the car in the first pic. still purple!

this is mine below. the digi cam didnt capture the pearl effect. for me the color depends on the light. bright = more blue, dark/cloudy = more purple.
so you're not happy with the outcome? could it be that maybe they added too much pearl?

I'm not going to tell you its just the way SSBP is, because I'm sure you know its somewhat of a chameleon color. I don't think its helpful for everyone to keep saying that, but I will tell you that before you really decide its too purple, you need to look at it under inside lighting, under midday sun, on a cloudy day, at night under street lamps, etc., to really get a feel of whether its too purple.

trust me, its purple no matter where and when! bright sun, cloudy day, evening, pure darkness, under flourecent lights, inside garage, its all the same...purple. it looks like the 1st pic 24/7
Is ssbp a 3 stage paint?I went to my body guy and he wanted 3,000 to paint it,I went to maaco and they said they can paint it that color and it would be 1 stage, they told me although its called pearl they dont have to spray a seperate coat of pearl its 1 stage and they would put the clear coat over it and door the jams trunk and under hood for 1,100 with a 4 year warranty against cracking, fading, ect. So I'm kinda scared to take it there and the paint sounds shady but for the price its a hella of a deal.Anyone know?
