nah man..dont hate..its so necessary to save 10lbs on a street car

This point I agree with very strongly. I'm 99% sure most people get CF hoods for looks. There is that 1% that races, and weight savings is a must. But please, don't go buy a CF hood to say it's to save weight when that 10lbs. won't do ****. Invest that $300-400 bucks in some nice performance upgrades.

10lbs here, 10lbs there. It all adds up fellas. If your going to strip interior and do other weight reduction then why not do the CF hood. Same goes with lighter wheels. Worth the $$.. thats ones own opinion.

This is what I think about CF hoods--->My original OEM hood had huge dents in it, and to tell you the truth, I might put it back on. Screw FI. It doesn't fit at all, and they won't take it back. blah blah blah.

why not buy a go-kart instead of making your car into one?

I went with fiber images. The fit is almost oem. I weighed both hoods before install and the fi was 15lbs lighter. Stock hood was dented and the paint was sun burnt. I like the image up and weight down. Is the car faster now. Not noticably from the hood alone. I have also ripped out the ac, and a number of other useless items. Everything together I do notice. I am currently at around 2000lbs based off the weight of all removed compared to stock. Unpainted cf hood gets all kinds of lovin.

minus well get a fiberglass hood and paint it. save yourself the money and it's much more lighter.
