installing a shift boot

Default installing a shift boot

i just got a shift boot and was wondering how to get the plastic around the shifter off. i got the front half off but i cant get the back. how do i get the back off?

How hard can it be to lift out the centre console? You just have to remove a couple screws on either side. I'm pretty sure I trained a monkey to replace shift boots for me once.

3 screws on each side.

the front 2 come out...middle 2 aswell then the rear 2.

the ones in the rear look like they dont connect to the shiftboot section, but they do....and it will slide right off

6 screw and its off. Put the new one in, and call it a day
