long story short, Some guy or girl is using pictures of my car to sell his or her car. and when the seller was asked questions about his or her car with the references to the pictures, they make up a lot of bull ****. How should i react to this? i mean seriously, wtf? this is not the first time someone has used pictures of my car to sell things. Robearracing.com is still using a picture of my car to sell one of there lips after I had told them to take it down a long time ago.

I showed it to one of my friends and he emailed the guy.. this is the response:

I asked him some questions and here was his responses.

A friend on here asked the seller some questions and this is what he got back:

"Hey Chris,
The drop in the picture was when i had ground controls. i will take pictures of the rear as soon as i can get my hands on a camera but its not that bad. mostly paint chip i got it estimated to be fixed for 200. those were my 16 royal bronze c8's but right now i have 15 bronze on the car. the grill was not cut im not sure what happened in the picture. but its a type r grill has the meshes like an SI. just to keep you updated i met up with two guys yesterday from san mateo and they offered 5800 for the car. if you still want you can come take a look at it.
Thanks"

and then some more questions:

"Hey Chris
the tokico are not blown that for sure. i switched out the ground controls to make cash. the rims swap because i didn't like the rubbing on the wheel well. oh you meant the front bumper grill.. sorry i thought u meant the type r grill.. anyways as of right now the grill on the car is not cut. that was mine and my friends project but didn't like the look so we swapped it back to my oem ones. sorry about that misunderstanding."

you should feel honored, but that fool is straight up faking the funk. I would be pissed if i drove up to pick up the car, and seeing that it isnt the same one pictured.

i got confused and lost when i was reading.

but id be honored if they used my car for advertising.

 

I live 40 mins north of San Jose... for the right price ill make all this go away.....


haha nah, seriously though. Id hit em up and tell them to take down the pictures of your car.. If they fail to do it, then flag the post..

 

your car looks identical to my cousins neighbor..seriously IDENTICAL..but i wouldnt feel too bad about it, someone has used my pix on craigslist..knowing that the person likes my car to save it on their comp to upload to CL even if u asked to take it down..they will or they wont..we cant do anything..

copy his entire ad, and put up your own titled "RE: 2000 Honda Civic Ex ! LOOK!! OFFERS!!!"

and just say that the pix are fake and all. thats the system used in sf craigslists. eventually people will flag it and it'll be deleted

Considering he's selling his car and not showing his car, I think you should call him out at least in the interest of the potential buyers.

I don't care about the attention... i mean what if this whole **** was a scam or something and the buyer comes to me or something saying it was my car he bought or some stupid **** like that? anything can happen in this world.

Haha well I don't think the buyer could/would have anything to say to you, but I'm just saying I don't think you should let him pretend like that, cos you know his car can't look exactly like yours...so even if you don't mind, you should tell him to at least be honest in the ad and say the pic is not his car. I guarantee his car looks nothing like yours, cos he's clearly a jackass and yours looks pretty damn clean.

Btw, is that an EM1 with an EJ front grill? I actually kind of like it, never seen that done to a black Si before.
