////HOOD ART////
LOL I love it when someone thinks along these lines, and believes that they were they start of something, it just makes me laugh. Also, I have had the underside of my hoods done for years. The one I posted was done in 06, and I had one done before that as well. Just hilarious.
im pretty sure he got it from walmart but its just like a roll on and it works great . i knoe he tried to use a flat black paint and the chalk just scratched it off
ohh okay. actually now that i think about it i remember seeing chalkboard paint in a spray can at walmart.. i wonder if that would work good too..?
Ya i tried flat black but it didn't work out. So i went to a General Paint and got chalkboard paint. i did have to roll it on but it has held up great for almost a year
Not polished, but has some shiny spots. I don't have nearly enough patience to polish a whole hood, plus I wanted a kind of beat to **** look so I used an angle grinder on a junk hood.
Having some fun with a spare hood, I've always had this thing for World War 2 aircraft nose art since I was a little kid, original design is by Rob Schwager. I'll probably run it for the summer and grind it back down and do something different or put my stock one back on. Just did it for fun, not to impress anybody. I'm going to try a clear vinyl wrap on it and see if I can keep it from rusting.

Thanks a bunch for the kind words guys, regular rattle can clear has been doing an excellent job of keeping the rust away so far and it has been rained on quite a bit since I put it on, I didn't think it would stick very well but it's working out great. The clear vinyl wrap was a complete disaster.
