As some of you know, i need to remove my tints and someone told me to slide it off with a razor, but dont think that would work. Help Needed?
you can use a razor to help you get a grip on part of it then just pull it off then have a rag with brake clean and wipe the glue off the windows pretty simple but i am really lazy to go do my rear window
no no, here is what you have to do, this is how they do it at the tint shops at least.
step 1; cut up plastic trash bags. at least the size of the window.
step 2; get some windex or straight amonia, and if you use windex make sure it says with amonia on the front.
step 3; go outside on a sunny day and appy the spray amonia on the window that needs to be stripped, then apply the plastic bags ( make sure they adhear to the surface) the window that is being stripped must be in direct sunlight for the best results.
step 4; wait around for a bit and keep checking on the windows, once you see that the tint is bubbling then you know that the amonia has compromised the adheasive on the tint and it is now safe to pull it off. all of the tint wont come up everywere but with some work with a razor will coax the trouble spots right off. the you can use the rest of the amonia to remove the remainder of the glue left on the window...
this technique has always worked on my cars. good luck
