Difference Between Spray Guns?
Oh yeah, you're going to deffinately want to get the HVLP gun on the right, or at least any HVLP over the equivalent Siphon feed. HVLP=High Volum Low Pressure. It takes about 70% less air pressure to use this gun, because the paint is fed by gravity to the nozzle. This induces up to like 60 or 70 percent less overspray. You're saving money and having an easier applied coat at the same time. The Siphon feed gun is also a good gun, but it takes more air pressure to feed. This means the paint will come out a lot faster, and you're going to have lots of overspray(paint that doesn't stick to the car). So if you're spraying expensive paint, this is something to keep in mind. I prefer the HVLP, but I use a Siphon feed for primer. The HVLP is more expensive, but well worth the investment. Who are those guns made by? Another thing, do NOT buy a cheap gun. It's like buying a cheap torque wrench- it will work at first, but you'll end up buying 2 or 3 by the time the other would have just been dying. Make sure to clean them after every use-I'm **** about that.
