I recently purchased a set of Genuine Civic Type R Headlights w/ City Light sockets and bulbs and McCulloch 6000K (or 6500K ) HID's for $550 shipped but I'm concerned about the glare in the housings cuz I don't have any sort of projector retrofit in there... Will HID's with the replacement H4 bulbs look like crap?

You are gonna need some casper shields or something

 

As long as you buy an HID kit made to replace H4 bulbs, they will be fine. The H4 HID bulbs have a little metal shield on the bottom that takes care of the glare.
