For those of you tired of going from hobby shop to craft shop and back looking for the red translucent film to do the conversion, you might wanna try red window tint. Thats what I used. I went to a car tint place and asked if I could have a little piece to see how it would look on the car (it was my friends red integra), they were more than happy to. I used 3 layers.

Me neither till today. I had been searching for the film for 2 weeks.

 

I did the same thing, put 3 layers. I also cut the red/black wire so it doesnt dim when I turn my headlights on.

Postal I used the colored tint. They have red, blue, yellow, don't know what other colors they have.

hey actually i did mine in amber for those of u who are interested the gauge cluster bulbs are 194na (amber) or 194 (red) u can get those at advanced or autozone. i also did my clock, climate control, and cruise control. i got the info off here on ht. i popped off the buttons on the climate control, used finger nail polish remover to get the blue stuff off, put teflon tape, then the amber plastic paper, now its amber. i recently, got a jdm sir-g steering wheel so i took the control out, i also got the itr clock blocker too (no clock) if anyone is interested i can try to post some pics but digicam is messed up. oh one more thing i got my amber film from target u know the plastic color dividers there u go thats what i used works go.

hah, i always drive with my headlights on so my cluster isn't all annoying and bright...

 

I went to shucks and bought a taillight repair kit that had pieces of amber film in it. Like hard translucent plastic pieces.
