My 2010 Accord Engine Burned
Hi All,
Last week I had a small accident that caused some damage to my radiator but i cloud not see anything outside so i continued driving. After some time my car suddenly stopped and when I took that to repair centre they are saying the engine is burned i need to replace. Where can find a new engine for my car. Repair centre told they can give me an engine, how can i trust that engine.
Is Honda sell engines for their models.
Please advise.

If it's an accident that was reported to the insurance company and they filed to find it, and fix it. Then I would go back to the insurance company first about this. They filed to restore the car to factory specs.

Sound like he did not report it.
Try to work with your insurance even you are going to take some heat.
Better than paying full engine price for new car.

Sorry to hear it. Without insurance you are screwed big time. Even with insurance some won't pay since the engine damage happened because you drove it damaged.
A Honda dealer can get a new engine. 4 to 5 grand plus another to install.

if its under warranty, i suppose its less than 30k miles for a 2010 honda, call honda care and ask for guidance. it wouldnt overheat if there's no "mechanical breakdown" due to faulty product form the manufacturer ~ honda ~

OP, just have the vehicle examined by another party and see what they say. If possible take it to Honda themselves. You can still file through insurance to have the vehicle fixed provided you have full coverage (which you should with a 2010)

lol, my bad, thats what happened when your using your phone internet, bummer.
well, car insurance should be able to cover that. but check your comprehensive policy and ask your agent/insurance about it.
damn, i feel your headache, man. dont mean to be rude but thanks for bringing it up, at least it could be a good lesson from others to consider when having this kind of issue.

But to the OP, I agree with what was said above, it can be done... but it will be pricey especially without the involvement of insurance... Good luck!

Plan B could be to look through the wreckers to see if you can find a good used motor... being a 2010, I doubt that most of the engines will have much for mileage...... Any reputable shop can install it. Dont forget to get the root cause repaired..... rad??
