Beep alert won't shut off. Help/advice please.

Beep alert won't shut off. Help/advice please.
2004 Honda Accord EX Coupe, V6
Today, first time ever, when I shut the ignition off and opened the door, the "beep-beep-beep-beep . . . beep-beep-beep-beep . . ." alert that sounds when you leave the key in the ignition and open a door began and would not stop, even though the key was out of the ignition. If I put the key in the ignition and start the car, the beeping stops, but I have a door adjar warning light on the IP that stays on, even though the doors and trunk are securely closed. Door locks will not lock, manually, by switch or by key remote. It would seem that the car thinks that both a door is continually open AND the key is in the ignition at all times. What is going on? Any advice or suggestions/ Thanks.

An easier way would just type "bump up." We don't always get on the internet every day. And some of us set our forum view to - view threads within 2 days. With that tight of a setting (mine for example), I would have missed your thread if I'm on for two days.
That happened to me on my 2006 Accord. Before I respond (not sure if you are still here) is it still beeping? I hope not.
