'03 4 Cyclinder Coolant Reserve tank dropping level
Alittle background. Car has 89k miles on it and water pump was making loud squeel noise. Replaced drive belt, water pump and tensioner pulley. Before draining coolant for that repair I noticed the reserve tank was empty. Still the radiator had contents in it and the fluid was clean.
After changing the drive belt, water pump and tensioner pulley I have been keeping an eye on the reserve tank and notice its losing coolant after driving I assume. I looked around the area and ground dont see a drop being lost. Oil color looks fine.
Should I be concerned, and what should I look at?
THANKS

There could be a small crack in the radiator, and it could be hard to spot. Get a good flashlight, and look good for dried up coolant residue all around the radiator (especially the plastic part), reserve tank, and coolant hoses, including heater hoses. Do you smell coolant inside the car?

i had a similar problem but my reservoir was below the minimum mark, so i topped it off both in the rad. and the reservoir. the radiator filled up quite instantly so i presumed to add to the reservoir, when i checked it after i had driven it it seemed to be at the same level as it had never cycle through the radiator. any ideas on what is goin on?

air bubble? Try cooling it off first. Then opening the radiator cap n let it run for a few mins and see if there is bubbling. this should help remove the bubble from your system. If that doesn't help maybe there is a leak in ur system.

o yeah i forgot to add this
DO IT WHEN IT HAS COOLED unless you want to die. seriously its boiling hot and will cause 2-3rd degree burns

any air bubble would cause vehicle to overheat is it overheating now? try pressure testing the coolant system to help you find the leak. coolant reservior should not be empty unless you have a leak. maybe a small one but is the car overheating at all? i must suspect you have an internal leak than?
