2010 cross tour with severe axle noise at 50 -55mph
Your right i should not have had to search the intranets for a solution but 4 different dealers said it was tire noise/normal etc.
I did see a item about replacing the trans fluid with a synthetic product.
I used Amsoil in the trans and in the transfer case and it has made a BIG improvement. I am actually going to keep the car now but it was not a good last 7 months searching this prob for my new vehicle.

I would not be so satisfied at my $33K purchase.

If you change out the fluid in the transmission and transfer case I would not call that "axle whine." Sounds more like gear whine. And having gone through the thread it seems you still never answered any of the posed questions or suggestions.

I haven't heard of this complaint before. Have you driven another Crosstour for comparison or did they say that they compared it to another vehicle?
If you have not done so already I would contact another dealer.
So do did you buy another Honda or are you just here to troll?

so when the Tech forum doesnot have a clue, someone is a troll?
Oh yeah the car still has the rear axle whine and now it has brake shudder at 15600 miles.

Honda has replaced my front axles 2 times in my 2010 Honda Crosstour - They have also replaced my Torque Converter as well, We also have the same brake problem - ours started at 4800miles - once the dealer replaced the front axles at 10K - the brake problem got worse. The dealer turned the rotors and refused to replace the rotors. At 18K the dealer replaced the front rotors and refused to replace the rear rotors... Brakes still don't feel right.
SO far Honda has replaced in our car.
Road Force balanced our tires - No change vibration at 22mph and 72mph
Replaced front axles - No changes - Brake vibration got worse
Turned Rotors - No improvements in vibration at 22 and 72mph
Regional rep came in
Road Force Balanced tires again
Shutdown VCM - No improvement
Swapped out Computer - No improvement
Swapped out tires and rims - No Improvements
National Rep came in
Believe Road Force Balanced tires again
Checked valves - cylinder 5 valves tight - were adjusted - No Improvement
Another set of front Axles/CV joints replaced
Torque converter replaced
Shudder at 22mph is improved - but worse at 72mph
Brakes still not right.
I test drove 9 other crosstours and several of them have the vibration but nothing close to ours. One Certified Used Honda Crosstour with @30K on it - brakes where real bad - Rotors warped .. Looks like Honda has some issues.
Frustrated and Wife doesn't feel safe driving this car.
