A/C performance
2018 Accord Touring 2.0T. Noticed recently that the A/C seemed to be taking a long time to cool. I took vent temperatures using a calibrated thermocouple and it was taking 20-25 minutes to cool to 48-55F range on an 85-88 degree day. Time to cool was not affected much by driving vs idiling. Took it to two dealerships and they tested and said the system was fine and functioning normally. Their results mimicked mine, taking that long to cool. Both places they said it was normal for the Accords to take a while. Called three other dealers and they stated the same. Current generation Accords take a long time to cool down. It wasn’t like this new. Other car models I’ve had access to took around 3-5 minutes to reach 48-55F range even on hotter days. Anyone else heard this? Called corporate and they said that performance, taking 20+ minutes to reach cooling A/C flow wasn’t unusual for the Accord.

Id Google around for a highly rated independent shop in your area and get a (non dealer) opinion.
(You can also try searching for 10th Gen Accord Facebook groups, join and ask there. In my experience , Facebook car groups are much more active than traditional online car forums, these days)
i've noticed the AC blows totally HOT air for 20-30 seconds when i first get in my car. it then starts to cool down but i've learned to use the remote start feature and that really helps. i also bought the car from a dealership in florida so the AC may have been used year round and just in need of a r134a recharge.
