will this work?
i have a 97 accord ex, i can get a type sh h22 motor for the dirt, and was wondering if the regular h22 tranny or f22 tranny will work with the sh motor because of the 4 wheel steering.
I don't know if the transmission has anything to do with 4WS. If it does effect 4ws then no, the regualar transmissions won't work. But i'm going to make an educated guess and say the regular trannies will fit.
The motor type (H22, F22, F23 etc.) has no bearing on either LSD (Limited Slip Differential) nor the AWS (All Wheel Steering) Systems.
You'll find both standard and lsd versions in the same Transmission case.
The AWS system involves a second steering rack, a modified rear suspension and the electronics and hydraulics to make it work.
The should be no reason why this USDM H22 should have any difficulty bolting up to either H or F series compatible transmissions.
