Default Wheel width?

96 Accord. What is the widest width that you can have with your rims before they rub. Looking at 18's. Currently have 17x7.

I am running 18 x 7.5 with 225 40's on it and the fronts are fine. The rear upper control arm is a pinky width from the tire. Offset is 42

'96 Accord, 18x8" rims (+40 offset) and 215/35 rubber...i think i get some rub on full lock over bumps at the front (lowered 2.5") but nothing major since the tyres have barely worn over the last 7-8 months.

Rears are fine, absolutely no rubbing
