its kind of hard to explain:i have a h22a motor when the vtec is supposed to engage it doesnt period.my motor is faster from 2000rpm till 5600rpm than from 5600rpm and up i dont understand it when i hit 5600rpm its like something is holding me back.cheked oil its perfect anyone could help me i would apreciate it alot

check your wiring... you might have your vtec wire/oil pressure wire mixed up.. to the ecu.. thats what happened to my homie when he did his LS VTEC

 

I can't help but think of my own F22B1.

On my motor the peak power band is at 5400 rpm I believe, I wouldn't think the H22 would be all that much higher. Also from my measly understanding of VTEC systems from 2000-5400 the VTEC would have already kicked in.

Is this a new problem or has it always been like this?
