Default tranny problems

i have a 92 accord and yesterday when i was driving i tried to make a turn and as i did the car drifted to a hault and sat there and only reved when i gave it gas. its an automatic so i don't have the first clue as to what is going on with it, can anyone give me any insight. btw i just had a shop redo the brakes and cv axles so i don't know if this might have anything to do with it. thanks.

not yet, this just happened yesterday, and i had to get it towed back home. i guess ill take it apart and see if i can see something. if the axle was popped out of the tranny would it literally be lying there? or does it stay put, yet not rotate with the tranny? i will also take a look at the tranny fluid. thanks you two.

it may not be laying there because it pulled out just far enough to cause the car to stop moving

as far as the axles go, are the auto and manual axles different. i don't know if some accords come without abs, but this model has it, are the axles different from abs to non-abs?
