i undid the draining bolt thinking it was the level check (doesnt make sense now since it's at the very bottom) and all 2.5 quarts of tranny fluid came gushing out on my hands hahaha, i wasn't ready for it at all and ran into my garage, grabbed the closest bucket and let it fill up

it's a mess to clean up and smells like complete ***

on the up side however, my tranny shifts like butta now

Any amount of "new" trasmission fluid you can put in will help. 3 quarts of clean fluid is better than none.

BLKFLSH, I was under the impression the tranny only held about 2.5 quarts or so?

I leveled out the car (while it was on the jack) drained completely then continued to fill it til it just started to overflow through the threading for the upper screw which ended up being about 2.5 quarts worth of MTF

did you get any in your mouth, LMAO. anyway all you need is a 3/8 ratchet and an extension, stick it in(which is the drain bolt) and the refill bolt is on top, i think.

for me when i had to re-fill i used a hose stuck it in the re-fill hole and poured away, only issue was when it was full it just gushed out!!!!!! and i had a ******* mess on the floor on my clothes and yess it smelled and the worst part, as i tried to put the bolt on the fluid just kept coming out (imagine tryin to stop a leak and the bolt WILL NOT GO IN)

The thread hi-jacker has an automatic (I think), so it's totally different. You can only drain about half out. Sorry to intrude on your thread.

haha or you can do it my way and blow out both tranny cooler hoses going to the radiator 2 different times and not notice until the car stops moving and your free revving. Yeah, i said twice haha. Oh well, atleast i know all the fluid in there is brand new.

Hope you weren't wearing your "Sunday best". I imagine tranny fluid is near impossible to wash off.
