Default Ck-100 key duplicator - highly recommended

So my 99 Accord was down to one key, and I needed to make at least one more for it. As everyone probably knows, these years have an immobilizer so you can't just copy a key for the car at Home Depot and it works. You need to program the key to the car. Well, I had seen somewhere a post about duplicators and came across the CK-100 as a tool that can do this for Honda and other cars between 1998 to -about 2015 or so. I hadn't seen a post here on it, so I thought I would report back my experience on it.

It arrives with no instructions. So, luckily it's not hard to use, just not extremely clear how to start. First, it comes with a charger, but you only need that if you are sitting in your house or on the bench and not plugged into the car, such as just looking at the menus.

You plug it in, it powers up. You choose the top menu item "immobilizer" , enter in your model and make (in my case you choose Honda USA and not just the Honda category).

It then walks you through the copy process. You basically turn on the car with the key you have that works, turn it off and on a few times while it captures the coding needed. You will see the dash flash often while doing this, it's ok if this is happening.

Then it asks you to put in the second key, where you are also instructed to on and off the car a few times.

That's it. Key copied.

The tool comes with 1024 "tokens" or uses of the tool. It uses up to 8 tokens depending on vehicle. For the Honda, it only used 1 at the end.

In messing around with it, it looks like Honda can only make three keys total at any one time working in the car. I maxxed out in my playing around with it.

If that happens, when at max and you want to make another key, an option is to tell it to erase all keys and then you can make 3 "new" keys

In any case, it works quite well, very easily, takes about 5 minutes to do the key copy.

Highly recommended for anyone needing another key.

A side note about the device - When using it, I would on occasion get a "ECU error" code. What I realized was that I had jostled the cable to the OBD-II connector. This connection is a easily dislodged connector, so if that happens, simply readjust the cable and try again and it will work. Happened twice to me.

Hi, I don't make this product, I just found and used it. But if you want to buy it, there are many vendors on ebay. Here is one, but I would look around to see if you find someone you like better.
