I was driving to work the other day and i finally glanced at my speedometer and it wasnt working. Everything else works like the gas, temperature, and rpm, but the speedometer doesnt seem to move. Any suggestions on what to look at or what it could be... The car is a 2000 Honda Accord Ex Manual Coupe.

 

you mite quite possibly need a new speed sensor

 

see if your cruise control still works, if it does then its not your speed sensor.

 

Would the speed sensor cause my car to shut off for a like 10 seconds while im driving though?

Sounds like you probably have a bad speed sensor and possibly a failing ignition switch (electrical side)

 

Are those cheap to replace and is it something i can do myself?
