i have a friend of mine with an 98 or 99 or 00 accord ex, that kind
and recently, she have swapped the seats and dash from an v6 accord with leather and stuff.

now her probelm is, the speedometer light doesn't comes on, when she drive without headlight or parking light on, the light that is showing the position of the transmission is fine as usual, and after the headlight/parking light on, the transmission light will go dim and also the speedomoeter light doesn't work. So basically, when driving at night, you can't see anything on the speedometer.

another thing is she is saying now the SRS light is on also, is it because of the extra side airbag? Is there anyway or getting it to work?

 

the srs light came on because you took out the seat, when you have the key in the car, when you remove the little connector under the seat, the system detect the seat is not responding=srs warning light came on.
you can reset it in less than five min.

about the light part, go check the dimmer switch, fuse box(there's three box, in hood, driver door jam, passenger door jam, the cluster light fuse should be on the right side passenger jam.
if the fuse is fine, the bulb prolly is bad.

 

what she have? a 4 banger with a v6 seat?
you might can get away with it, try to reset it first, it the light still
on, you might want to get the 4cylinder seats back.

yes is v6 or ex seats with the side airbag seats into her ex

and the light, checked the fuse, relay and stuff.......nothing is wrong.
