Default EGR Valve

So on my 1996 Honda Accord EX I have had the check engine light on. I checked the codes and it said O2 sensor behind the cat which I knew it would and plan to fix soon. Well it had two others one which was EGR Valve has insufficent flow. Now I have never messed with one of these how easy are they to get to to replace or clean if cleaning is all thats needed. Any pics of one so I can know what it is or directions to getting it out?

How much do they run for a new one? I erased the codes and the 02 sensor was the only one that came right back but I bet there is something wrong with the EGR valve also.

The other code was TCC Circuit Malfunction or something similar I know it was TCC Circuit. The guys at the shop had no idea what it was and the code scanners definitions of the code was just that and didn't tell you what it was. Any idea on what that may be? Is it something to be concerned about?

Are you over 150K miles? It's under warranty if you are under that.

If your car is under the warranty it coveres everything that will cause a check engine light including O2 sensors.

i believe that that 150K is for CA cars only........

I'd try cleaning your egr ports as well that is a known problem on honda engines when they get up there in milage....

BACKGROUND

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and
the California Air Resources Board (CARB) have
claimed that the On-Board Diagnostic (OBD) system in
the affected vehicles does not fully perform in the
manner that they believe is required. Specifically, they
believe the OBD system is not sensitive enough to
detect some engine misfire conditions.

In an effort to resolve this issue, American Honda has
agreed to extend the emissions warranty on all of the
affected vehicles and to provide emissions-related
services during the warranty period.

WARRANTY EXTENSION INFORMATION

American Honda is extending the emissions warranty
on all affected vehicles to 14 years or 150,000 miles,
whichever comes first. The basic terms of this
extended warranty are the same as given with the
original Federal and California emissions warranties.

Federal Emissions Warranties - The time and
mileage periods for the Emissions-related Design and
Defects Warranty and the Emissions Performance
Warranty are lengthened from 4 years or 50,000 miles
to 14 years or 150,000 miles. All other terms,
conditions, and exclusions still apply. All parts on the
Emissions Parts List are now covered for 14 years or
150,000 miles, so the 8/80 notations on certain parts
no longer apply.

California Emissions Warranties - The time and
mileage periods for the Emissions Control Systems
Defects Warranty and the Emissions Performance
Warranty are lengthened from 4 years or 50,000 miles
to 14 years or 150,000 miles. All other terms,
conditions, and exclusions still apply. All parts on the
Emissions Parts List are now covered for 14 years or
150,000 miles, so the 7/70 notations on certain parts
no longer apply.
