Hello Everyone,

recently The Sport Shift indicator light on my dashboard started flashing.
At the same time it started flashing, My speedometer stopped working Most of the time.
it stays at 0 and occasionally starts working and will read what speed I am going.

Also, around the same time as those things stopped working, the Check engine light has been coming on..

So, I do plan to take it to Honda for a check up, But it costs 100.00 just to find out what is wrong with it. And I'm hoping you all can give me some ideas of what to check. and possibly save me some money.

I don't get the impression that this is going to be expensive to fix. but I would like an idea of what to check.


What are the possible reasons why the check engine light would come on?
I know that it is related to sensors and what not, so I am thinking PCV or Air filter
or something along those lines.

also, the car seems a bit rough when running in gear. I don't know how to explain that. As you all drive your cars you know you can feel a difference in the pedal.
the feel I get from the pedal is that the car is a bit more rough than it was a week ago.

So, any ideas you guys have would be appreciated

most of the times when s lite is on, speedo inop and chk engine lite is on ,,it is caused by a bad electrical portion of speed sensor............
pull the codes to make real sure ......
