Default Rota Subzero sizing

I am might be getting the 17" Rota Subzeros for my 94 Accord. I have seen them listed from different vendors as both 7" and 7.5" widths

Does anybody know for sure what width they are?

Ockums razor? Is that it? I think it states that the simplest explanation is usually the correct one--they probebly come in both 7 and 7.5 inch widths.

Yeah, that would make sense but no single vendor sells both the 7" and 7.5". You never are given a choice they are just stated differently from different vendors.

Have you tried contacting the company that makes the rims? Go to their website and send them an email. Simple as that.

I've been considering a set of these as well... 16.5lbs for a 17", 14.5lbs for a 16"... not too shabby at all considering they're quite affordable...

$550 shipped from MachIII.net

why pay the extra just for the name?

btw, I heard these wheels are not hubcentric on the accord. Is this true?
What does hubcentric mean?

hubcentric means the wheel is centered on the hub. and the weight of the car is resting on the wheels in that one point. a lugcentric wheel would have the weight of the car supported by the studs.

if the wheels are not hubcentric, you should make sure they send you centering rings.

i dont like knock-offs. okay, sure there made in the same factory. wooptyfreakindoo! that doesnt change the fact that they are COPYING someone elses design.

I'm not sure hubcentric rings are necessary anyways since technically the weight pressure is resting on the contact point between the rear of the wheel and the hub.

they may not be necassary for the wheel to spin. but i think that if a manufacturer RECOMMENDS using them, then you should.

Thanks for the info - that explanation makes sense to me. As far as the rotas being knock-offs - I am always leary of knock-offs but I have heard nothing but good things about the Rotas. I understand your point but $$ is always a BIG consideration for me. I am Poe (and I'm not alking about Edgar Allen!)
