propane conversion
I need info on tweaking the ECU with Crome/Uberdata (OBD1 etc) for a propane conversion. I need 10% more initial spark advance and 10% less total spark advance for propane. I will be starting from scratch or getting help from someone who has some of the electronic equipt. It will be a straight propane system. The gas components will stay in place but won't be used.
I've done a few propane conversions and I can install that hardware but I'm not sure what will happen when I unplug the injectors and the fuel pump. A propane airflow component will go between the manifold and the aircleaner - is there anything between the aircleaner and inside the manifold that I have to worry about? I'd appreciate any help with this project.
Propane is about half the cost of gas and it burns cleaner - pluse your motor lasts longer because the oil stays clean. The down side is that you give up trunk space for the tank and have do do a little plumbing. But in the long run - its great.
Another alternative is to do this for a hybrid.
