Problem replacing a headlight
Good morning all,
One of my low beams has burned out on my accord, replacing it should be a no brainer right? Well is turning into a night mare, seems i cannot remove the light, i cannot get the collar to turn properly for me to remove the bulb and replace it. Any suggestions people?

I hit mine with a screwdriver and light hammer blows. Be careful because the plastic looked brittle (heat-cooked?), but it did finally come loose.
Try hitting the lower ear/projection since that is where the collar seems to be designed to be turned from.

I've had my share of problems with that plastic ring, tapping on it will sometimes get it to move. I have also used my heat gun [super blowdryer] to warm them up and get them to break loose.
I always put a little smear of silicone grease on the threads when going back together, because I hate to see someone else have to struggle with it in another 5-10 years.

might have to take the battery out if the headlight burnt out is on that side of your car. i did that with my 94 accord and it made things a lot easier and better angles on the back of the light.
