problem?
hello
im new here and i think i may have a problem
for the last 5 or 6 monthes when the engine is cold and i start it and i drive it the tranny acts weird. it acts like its taking forever to shift.. its an auto...
if i let the car warm up for a few min and then i take off its ok
a dealer here told me its nothing
i took to to my mechanic whos avery good one he checked everything on the car engine tranny.... and he told me i cant find anything wrong
any ides?

do0d....you should read your owners manual...it tells you about this...the computer senses when the engine is cold so it tells the transmission to shift later than usual so the engine runs hotter with those few extra rpm's and thus warms up the engine faster...it's normal!...

if thats the case why it didnt do it earlier but it started doing it lets say 5 monthes ago ?
whats doing exactly is similar to a manual car when u have to shift to 2nd and u dont shift the car acts weird ... its very simila to hat mine does
but i dont think its a tranny problem cause i drove 700miles to Ny and back home few days ago and the car runs fine.....

5 months ago was probably the start of winter for you...i dunno where you are from but that's usually when it gets cold for a lot of states...it doesn't do this as much in the summer because your engine is a lot warmer to begin with and doesn't take as long to warm up...it's kinda logical if you think about it!
