Icon5 P1457 code EVAP leak

Trying to figure out if a faulty EVAP vent pressure sensor (part # 37940-PAA-A01) on a 2001 Honda Accord LEV 2.3L 4-cyl. can yield a P1457 diagnostic trouble code. Any ideas if it can? Part's stated purpose is to detect pressure differentials and then potentially trigger a P1457 code, but if it is the only faulty part in the EVAP system can it trigger a P1457 code even if there is no EVAP system leak? I have already had a smoke test performed and most all of the other EVAP sensors/canisters have been replaced recently with genuine Honda OEM parts, but I still got the P1457 code after the latest round of parts replacement.
