not able to pull codes

Default not able to pull codes

I recently purchased a 95 wagon and the guy i purchased it from did a motor swap on it. everything runs, but the idle is off and some check lights are on. issue i am having is when i try to pull the obd1 codes and see what errors are coming up nothing is being read at all. anyone have any ideas on what i can do?

had an issue where i could only pull a code with the engine running otherwise no dice.

engine can be off or on, just the ignition has to he on

it's possible he disconnected the check engine bulb

the check engine lights come on but when i try to pull any codes nothing reads. is it possible the computer he used for the swap just isn't the right computer?

are you jumpering the blue service connector with the ignition on ?

yes sir still no go. reason i was trying to get codes pulled is the idle on the car isn't right so its bogged down when accelerating and deaccelerating

What motor did he swap in? Check the ECU and see which one it is, also while you are there look at the connectors and see if anything looks hacked together. Should be OBD1 with OBD1 ECU.

confirmed it yesterday it is a f22b swap and the ecu he used was the stock ecu that initially came with original motor so now i am on the search for a f22b ecu
