Are you able to easily turn the engine over by hand?

You could try hooking up a starter and battery to the engine and do compression and leak down tests on it before you install it.

I can turn the engine by hand all the spark plugs are out so it's kinda easy but you still have to put a little force to it but it sounds smooth don't i need an air compressor for a leak down and i would half to throw the transmission on it to mount the starter for a compression test everything else seems alright how do marks like this even get in there the only thing i could personally think of is pitting but any other ideas? Should i just take the risk ?

Are you worried about the vendor who sold it to you?

Does the engine have a 30-60 day warranty?

unfortunately i bought it back in July it was a 90 day warranty and im far past it i didn't have any plans for it at that time i just wanted to get one because it was cheap and was thinking of a swap in the future i called them the other day they said the best they can do is a discount on another one .. Under the oil cap looks super clean oil looked great antifreeze looked great it's just this..

I'm going to presume if they were willing to give you a 90 day warranty, it's probably fine.
