Need Help Reverse Problems
Have a 99 Accord with a JDM auto tranny just installed. Reverse grinds when I try to put it in gear. All of the forward gears are fine, shifts smooth, just reverse is giving me fits. Have swapped all my sensors and solenoids from old tranny. Anybody out there know what I need to look for? I don't know where to look next.
Ran a continuity test on the Gear position switch, All the shift points check out on the test, Is there anything else I need to try, or is it time to pull it back out to ship back to JDM ?
the problem is the reverse gear inside the transmission. im talking from experience. i swapped out 2 transmission on my 90 accord ex and both did the same thing. after opening them the reverse gear was stripped. sometimes it would make a pop sound when put in reverse and move a lil then slip and grind. sometimes it would just grind and grind. but yeah after opening both trannys i found the reverse gear was the problem
