Default turn signal problem ,need help

well my corner light wiring cables were severed in a small accident, so i hit up a junkyard and replaced them, they turn on just fine, everything is perfect, except, when i use my indicators, only my rear lights blink and they blink fast, i cant figure what to do next!

thanks!

It might be a bad socket....is your front bulb burnt out or is it working? If its not burned out I would say socket. Also check your fuses the ones for turn signals and make sure everything is kosher like the pickle.

I will have to look at mine, but I swore there was one or maybe a relay that says headilghts/turn signals, check those and I will look at mine to cross reference, mine is a 4th gen though.....should be about the same. And how do you know the bulb is not burned out? I would be leaning towards a bad socket or bad wiring.

check you ground block. each side of your car has a little box about the size of hot wheel that all the ground wires for your lights (example left block has bumper light, corner light, marker light) all going into one. check to see if all your wires are good there too..

wouldnt the bulbs be burne dout when they dont work and have black coating all over them? I also have 2 new amber bulbs on each corner light. How would i tell if i had a bad socket?

I only have the far corner bulb in and it doesn't throw off the circuit....to test your sockets break out the voltmeter.....but as bagged93accord said check your grounds too.

No if you had a bad socket it wouldn't matter if the bulb was good, the socket supplies the volts needed to power the bulbs and also complete the circuit...honda did this thing to wear if a bulb went out or something broke the circuit it would blink at at least double the normal rate, I guess to get your attention. I would look near the body near the sockets for the ground...I think the corner grounds are near the battery and the p/s on the other side...check it out and lemme know.

here is what ive discovered so far, 1) it isnt the lighting relay, because if that was gone, none of my lights would work, 2) it isnt the fuse becuase the actual lights turn on, they just dont blink

so now im sure of 2 things, its either the bulbs or a bad grounding, which sux0rs!
