I just put 4 quarts of oil in my car and drove to work and now it's almost bone dry! I figure it is either coming from the oil filter or the part were the oil is cooled on the block! There is also alot of snow on the ground and I'm thinking that the oil filter probly came loose because it was hand tightend. Please help I have enough money on me to get about three quarts and I have to drive approx: 30 miles home. Is that gonna be enough?
For something to leak that fast it would have to be :
Oil Filter Base Gasket
Oil Cooler Base "O" Ring Seal (if equipped)
Oil Pressure Sender Sensor (Just above Oil Filter)
The 3 qts just MIGHT get you home

my block does have an oil cooler and me and my mechanic were thinking that the bolt that holds it to the block might be loose and it may be dripping from there. I just called him and were gonna check it tommorow morning. Thanks

better that then breaking down in a dark lonely area of Bridgeport
If I had a choice, it would stop at a Starbucks in Greenwich ........
