It's a friends car. He isn't into Hondas but it caught my eye. Just curious if it's rare or not. Thought it was pretty cool.

It's a phone, it was optional. But IIRC there is no service for that phone system anymore.

Rare, but not $$ valuable kind of rare due to the obsolescence that MAD MIKE cited. I think Motorola made those units for Honda. With the right cell provider and antenna, those things could provide pretty decent service. I had a 10db gain window clip-on antenna on my aftermarket "car phone" in my Accord and it worked great for many years. I kind of miss the days when having a phone in the house and car was sufficient.
