Default Help with CEL code.

So Im at work and my friend says his '95 Accord is idling funny (fluctuating up and down) So I told him I would pull the code for him. I got 7 long flashes followed by no short flashes (70?) So I then took that info to c-speed racings site to get the code definition and it comes up as an auto tranny malfunction, but the chart does not list that code to apply to the Accord. So my question is, is that the right code/definition for his car or is it something else? Your quick response is appreciated. Thanks guys.

Ummm.......seven long flashes followed by 0 short flashes I believe indicates 70, and according to c-speed racing there are codes up to 92, there is a code for 70. I was not sayin it flashed 70 times.

You'll need to check the trans code. What code does the D4 light flash? Or does it have an LED in the control unit? I'm not sure. Either way we need the tranny code.

Maybe it could be code 7? Code 7 is the throttle postion sensor. If that is faulty, that oculd explain a flucuation at idle.

The only time you count the long flashes as 10 is if its followed by short flashes. So if you get only 7 long flashes then Big James is right, its the TPS sensor. It is either faulty or the wiring is loose. Either way get it checked out...

If so, then how does the ECU display codes 10, 20, 30, 70, 80, and 90?
