I have a question, tomorrow 01/22/04 will try to buy some headers on ebay for about 150 shipped those headers come with only one oxygen sensor hole, the one that is closer to the cat, what do i do with the other one that is in front of the cooling and a/c fans?

you don't have 2 oxygen sensors on the header. just 1 on the headers and 1 on the cat. Just for the headers. you have to relocated the oxygen sensor that is onthe header behind the fan, to the bottom.

Thats why you buy a DC header and you don't have to worry about this stuff.

just remember you get what you pay for... you do pay for than just a name when you buy a name brand.

Greddy would be your best choice, but they are only made for 94-97 EXs.

I would pay 150 for a header versus 300-400 from greddy or dc, granted its a more oem fit, but for half price, it aint bad.

you relocat it by extending the wires, meaning you have to cut and solder all four wires in order to do so

I would have paid 150 for a header instead of buying the paper thin DC header for 300 consider the minimal performance gains you get from stock N/A upgrades. Thats why i had to go turbo, i was just wasting my money on boltons.

Was the dyno for an EX or LX? Because the LX exhaust manifold is pretty restrictive and should show gains.

I assume its a 97 lx......I know on the 4th gens going from the lx stock exhaust manifold to the ex exhaust manifold was like 5 hp, thats probably the most you will see out of a header, including aftermarket. It might be the same for the 6th gens too.

Well i think that for 150 bucks that's good and how i got the intake with k&n filter and universal muffler i should be getting like 8/9 hp from stock right?

Do you just have a universal muff? If you do I would recommend at least getting a cat back. With i/h/e should be at MOST a 8-10hp and tq at most 5-10. Again not much, bus still an improvement over stock, and remember suspension will let you use the powa that you have.

5-10 if youre lucky and dont get cheap *** ****. and if its cheap then it better be proven. if i were to buy something for my car, i better either see some proof it adds some numbers or others on this board have reviewed it to be a good addition to their vehichle. im not gonna lay down 500 on any ol exhaust. and if all i had to lay down was 250, sounds like it wouldnt even be worth it. in your case you should do this... just keep SEARCHIN the board and asking around about products that you would like to put on your car. AEM CAI with a k&n filter has been proven to add some numbers, not much, but numbers are proven. thermal R&D exhaust systems are proven to add some numbers *** well. not to mention give you a nice throaty deep sound when at idle and not too loud when u wot it. it still can get loud tho... now with a header... i havnt researched headers much but i do hear dc a lot. but as ive read lately, dc was able to rob numbers away from an accord. which doesnt sound like the best buy on earth. so do some research and spend your money wisely. saving a buck now will only cost you later. just be patient and savew ur moola. ebay is one of the last places to go for performance parts, unless you knwo for a fact they are GOOD WELL KNOWN companies selling GOOD WELL KNOWN products. good luck modding ur car man and always ask around if you are ever not too sure about something. ur what makes this board great man eager mind that will in time be smarter than the smartest tech on this board.

I thought that you gain hp because of the inlet diameter and outlet of the header and if it is mendrel bent for fast flow.

This header is brand new with the inlet of 2.5, ceramic coated 1082 mild steel, also it features their lightened cnc machine flanges,

that's some info about the header, Maybe some of you have more knowleged in headers and can tell me if they are good, OK, or bad.

I am the highest bidder right now and the action will finished tomorow around 8 pm.

Well the thing about honda's they come from the factory pretty damn tuned....when you look at other cars when you put aftermarket stuff on them you see higher gains (thats due to poor tuning by the manufacture) Granted some of the things they do is for smog control, noise of car etc all the while extracting as much hp as they can (for the price range of the vehicle) and keeping it low maintanance.
