I recently replaced my distributor/cap/ignitor and rotor. I thought that was why my car wasn't starting right. The fix ended up being the main relay. Well now i noticed my car is constantly triggering those codes every couple of days. The car runs fine but i am clueless on what is going on.

what years ur car?
i got the manual for 90-93's so i can tell u waht the code is.....
12 = Exhaust Gas REcirculation System
15 = Ignition Output Signal

but thats for 4th gens only

 

Thanks... I'm sorry i forgot to put that down in my post. I can't figure out what the heck is throwing the ignition code.

so when i was replacing my distributor/rotor/cap because i didn't know it was the main relay, two wires came out of the ecu harness. I cut those wires and connected the directly to the alternator by soldering them. After a week of driving around the CEL came back. same error codes. What the heck can be causing this?

reset the ecu, clear the memory then c if it'll come bak on after a couple of days
if u completely reset the ecu and get the codes take it to a shop and let them know whats wrong
