I have a 99 Accord. Over the past few weeks, I've noticed that sometimes while starting the car, the engine will have some difficulty turning over, and once started, it will stumble for a few seconds before finally establishing itself. It runs fine afterwards. I have no problem idling otherwise. Problem is only when trying to start.

Air filter is new. Spark plugs are a few months old. Checked all connections. Possible fuel contamination?

 

Has the car overheated recently or in the past ? If so, you should first do a compression test.
