Default Engine Idle

1991 Honda Accord idle is at 900 RPM when it usually idles at 750 RPM. Car runs fine other then that. A/C is NOT on.

Sometimes if I put my foot behind the gas pedal and pull back it drops. What can cause the idle to raise like this.

It doesn't always do this!

Yeah thats what I thought because my gas pedal sticks when I stop, I have to hit the pedal hard for it to go agian. I cleaned around the intake, it is carboned up. After I clean it, it runs great but soon after does the same thing. I use carb cleaner to clean it.

It has a cold air intake does that have anything to do with it?

? Might? Can you get someone to push/release the gas as you watch the cables and that to see if something is binding on the outside.......then there could be carbon and that on the inside of the tb that could cause the butterfly not to close all the way.

You got a vacuum leak brah.
Driving with part throttle pulls more vacuum than at idle, opens the leak path.

Just spray carb/brake cleaner around the intake manifold and all of your vacuum hoses to see if the idle will change.
