Default engine check problem

I have a 2000 accord v6. My engine check lite is on. How do i check for the code? Is there a thread for the code? Can anyone help me with this problem please. Thank you all that leave a reply.

go to the search page then type in 'ecu codes' (or some variation...use your head). next select accord from the drop down menu (and don't forget to search both archived and current threads). i am willing to bet that you will find the info you so seek in one of them thar threads. NOW, if you are still unable to find your answer you then post. this is a pretty common topic some im willing to bet it's been covered a million times. if all else fails, go to autozone. they should be able to pull the code for you.

bring it to a local car shop like napa or auto zone and they'll check it for you for free.


if you have any aftermarket performance parts it might've triggered your primary or secondary O2 sensor.. or youe EGR valve might have gone whack.. get it checked out.

Or you can check it yourself by jumping pins 4 and 9 on the DLC.
